To Eat or not to Eat🤔

I’m an industrial electrician. There are 3 of us at this plant. 1 per shift. When one of us is off, the other 2 split his shift. I usually work 2-10. This week I gotta cover half of 1st so I’m working 10-10. The most practical way for me to do things is go to the gym after work then go to bed shortly after (within 90 min).

Should I:
a) Eat nothing until morning
b) Eat light
c) Eat normal
d) Just have a shake

I only have to do this once in a while. Right now I’m trying to lean out as much as possible before the winter grow season. 1st shift guy had a death in the family so there was no way to plan around this.

Thanks!

I would eat normally as post workout is the most opportune time to refuel and absorb vit/minerals/etc

If it's too hard to stomach before bed, protein shakes will do the job

If you trying to lean out for real then suffer and cut carbs.
I’d go with some lean protein, beef jerky, or RTD lower carb protein shake

Beef Jerky reminded me how important it is to replace your sodium levels. So I would consume quality protein along with something to replenish electrolytes.
