I just wanted to get a feel for what other people think or have experienced. This is all anecdotal so that’s why im kind of wondering what others experiences were. I recently started training again. I’m a pretty slim guy and luckily have stayed that way in to my 40’s. I usually start and go right to bulking or trying to just pack on weight. But this time I had a reason to actually slim down and cut first.
I dieted hard for about 2 and a half months and did A TON of cardio and a normal lifting regimen. By the end I was absolutely ravenous. Once I came off the caloric deficit and started eating again, it was EFFORTLESS! In the past I’ve always struggled eating that many calories and was used to waking up in the middle of the night puking from having so much food on my stomach. Not this time. I can eat like I’m hippo and my energy is through the roof. Ive already put on 16 lbs and I'm excited to see where this takes me.
So I say all that to ask what has others experience been? Is this something that’s already well known or talked about? It’s been a miracle for me and really kickstarted my training and bulking.
