Hairloss question

Hi bros and broettes, i rarely post here but ive been a member here for 15+ years.

Questions: i take propecia.

1)If i take anavar and propecia simultelaneously, will it speed up my hairloss?

2)What about if i take propecia and dbol simultaneously?

I have read that the above is true, but it could just be bro-science.

Thanks.

Hi bros and broettes, i rarely post here but ive been a member here for 15+ years.
^^^hey brother ..15+ yrs?? ..ok, i'll try to help

Questions: i take propecia.
^^^how much Propecia are you taking? ..just curious

1)If i take anavar and propecia simultelaneously, will it speed up my hairloss?
^^^the rationale here is that ANAVAR is a DHT derivative ..& therefore "automatically" causes hair loss

BUT this is not necessarily true
..just bc something is a DHT derivative does not mean that it has the same affinities for select tissues (..like scalp & prostate ..& things like SHBG) as actual biological DHT itself

..now that said; ..some of these "DHT-derivatives" may be able to potentiate hair loss
"IF" they have affinity for the scalp tissue themselves (..in other words; directly)
&/or..
"IF" they bind SHBG

why?
..bc SHBG binds different sex hormones with different affinities

SHBG binds; from greatest affinity to least affinity; in the following sequence:
DHT → TEST → Androstenediol → Estradiol → Estrone.
..DHT binds to SHBG with 5 times the affinity of TEST +/-
..& roughly 20 times the affinity of Estradiol

^^^so if a "DHT derivative" binds well to SHBG, then it could potentiate hair loss simply by occupying SHBG & freeing-up actual DHT

2)What about if i take propecia and dbol simultaneously?
^^^DBOL is a TEST derivative (..an analogue of TEST)

..though DBOL can be converted by 5α-Reductase into Methyl-1-Testosterone
..it has a very low propensity to do that

..DBOL also has a low affinity for SHBG (..about 10% of that of testosterone & 2% of that of DHT)

^^^so if you gonna go the route that "Propercia decreases DHT & therefore promotes hair loss"
..or in other words that "DHT is the sole cause of hair loss" then i don't see the pathology with DBOL

►IMHO ..which includes blood work i'v seen over the years:
1.) most guys on TRUE TRT TEST doses have DHT levels that are "High-Normal" ..or just plain "High ..Out of Range"

2.) who runs these drugs without TEST? ◄no one

3.) most of us run much higher TEST doses ..even when we cruise

^^^well if you able to add all that up you'll see that the moral of the story is that it doesn't take much TEST to cause Supra-Physiological levels of DHT in the vast majority of men
(..TEST converts to DHT at a higher rate than it converts to Estrogen)

SOUND WILD??
..not really ..not when you consider that TEST is always there & that it does not take much (..or too long) to elicit these effects in the prone
(..& even in the non-prone ..it still does it ..just takes a bit longer before it's noticeable)
..& that we know for sure that biological DHT DOES have great affinity for those tissues

^^^so YES ..from what i'v seen/know; i'm suggesting that "TEST" is the real "main" culprit
..& the UN-convicted criminal who is largely responsible for the crime of hair loss
..the blame of which some innocent DHT derivatives have received the undue brunt of
..BUT that DHT derivative are not completely blameless ..even if they do not target the scalp (..& other tissues that biological DHT targets)
..why?
..bc they can potentiate liberation & bioavailability of any existing DHT (..& as we discussed above ..that can be a lot even on a True TRT dose)

If you're concerned about hair loss then better to get a DHT blocker serum that you apply to the scalp. If you have genetics to lose hair then steroids in general will just speed up the process unless steps are taken to ameliorate the thinning processes that normal hair loss inevitably takes.

I first started using steroids 20 years ago on and off. Been cruising on various compounds for nearly 2 years and my hair has thinned significantly. I'm 50 years old however.

Here's the thing though, I've had two rounds of hair transplant surgery. The last of which was 10 years ago. My steroid use has NOT affected the transplants! They are staying strong. The only hair that is thinning is the hair from the natural hair follicles. I still have no idea why this is so.

So in closing, get yourself a DHT blocker directly to the scalp and some shampoo that helps combat thinning. And if worse comes to worse you can always go the transplant route.

Good answers, guys. Thanks. Seriously.

Sour, im taking 10mg propecia tabs, since you asked.

Mainly, the reason im asking is because id like to run test cycles in the future, only just recently ive noticed some hairloss. I know propecia will prevent test-induced hairloss, and id like to add, say dbol or something else, but i hear these stories about "never take Deca with propecia, it will have the opposite effect of what youre looking for, and will actually speed up your hairloss."

I dont like deca. Hence why i asked about dbol/propecia & anavar/propecia mixture.

DarkTriad, what is a good OTC topical DHT blocker? Ive used 1% Nizorol, but ive read that 2% is preferrable. More difficult to get the 2% stuff due to it being Rx only. Some say Azaelic acid?

The otc topical blocker I was using awhile back was an RX. I'm starting an over the counter one today and will post up my results. Also, you can find an over the counter Nizoral in some places. My Walmart had some which I found strange.

Over the counter 2% Nizoral I meant to say. It is out there.
